Carefully read about our application process and requirements before submitting an application. Please do not apply if you do not meet the following criteria. Due to the high volume of applications we receive we are unable to respond to applicants that do not meet our qualifications.

Potential adopters must currently live in Florida. If you are looking to adopt a Pit Bull and you do not live in Florida, check out PBRC for a rescue near you.

All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered.

If your application passes the initial screening phase and we feel that your family might be a match for one of our dogs, we will perform a veterinary reference check. Please notify your veterinarian and give them permission to release veterinary records to a representative of Dolly’s Foundation before submitting an application.

If your veterinary reference checks out, you will be contacted to schedule a home visit. Every member of the family (of all species) must be present at the time of the home visit.

After the home visit, you will be contacted by the foster parent of the dog you are interested in to schedule a meet and greet. Every member of the family (of all species) must be present at the meet and greet.

If the meet and greet goes well and it feels like a good match, we will arrange for a sleepover to give you some time to bond and get to know each other a little better before making a final decision.

We are unable to process incomplete applications. Please answer every question in detail to be considered.
